A Shaman's Journey chronicles the story of coming home. To my Soul.
It's a story of what it means to be a southerner, a shaman, a storyteller. It makes stops along the forest of illusions and the village of conditioning before casting off into the dark, mysterious waters of uncertainty. There's a beginning, but no end.
In a way, it's a personal story. A story, as a Texas poet once told me, "of experiencing over a period of years what most only witness in the final moments before they die." But, ultimately, A Shaman's Journey is a universal story. Because aren't we all on the same journey? Sure, some of us may have cast off long ago, while others are still wondering what to pack. Doesn't matter. The journey is the same.
I'm sharing this story for three reasons:

- First, because it's a journey seasoned by love of self, compassion for others, and ecstasy of spirit. And couldn't our journeys--as individuals, as a country, as a world--use a bit more of each these days?
- Second, because in a world that embraces self-made experts with ready-made answers, this story joyously surrenders to questions, to innocence, to uncertainty. Feels kinda good, doesn't it?
- Finally, I share A Shaman's Journey because the Universe asked me to share it. Enough said!
